Well our gray car was on its last leg. When we took it in last to our mechanic. . he said "get rid of it." It was a good car until the last year and a half, then all kinds of things were breaking. So we decided to get a small SUV. We test drove three and decided on a 2010 white Ford Escape Flex Fuel SUV. I am happy to have some more room and to sit up higher. The gray car we had purchased in Phoenix in October after 9/11. We purchased that car because we had just started to try to have kids. Sigh. Well 8 years later, Jade got to ride in the car for almost 8 months. 
I am so happy I am on the stairs playing.
I love pulling up in the stairs.
Can you see the sadness? There were so many tears when she realized the gate was up.

We still have two more gates to go. No gates would fit on the stairs so now we will have two gates in the kitchen area. Right now she has not figured out if she crawls all the way through the kitchen she can still get to the stairs. We will work on the other gates this weekend. Today she tried throwing her toys on the other side of the gate.

You and Jen have both gotten new cars in a week time span. Crazy. Hope you enjoy your new SUV. Love the pictures of Jade through to bars. Don't worry, she'll figure it out eventually.
