This past weekend was the annual Corn Festival in Haxtun. It was also Justin's 20 year class reunion. On Friday night we went to the football game for just a little bit, because we were busy decorating Jade's bike to ride in the parade. The theme of the parade was "The Road Home. . " Aunt De came up with a fabulous idea. . Follow the yellow brick road home. Here is our little Dorothy.
Do you see that blue ribbon on the front. . . yep 1st place.
The Potter clan waiting for the parade to start. . the bags are ready for the candy.
Jade was so happy that Jessa got to come. Jessa got out of the hosptial on Thursday and was not feeling the best. . but it was Corn Festival or Bust!!!
One of the floats in the parade.
Another float they made the grain elevator out of white trash cans. .clever
Justin's class float. Justin only graduated with 13 kids, the smallest class from Haxtun.
Jaiden got to come back from college. Jase was happy to sit with her when the beeping and sirens started.
Jase fishing at the fishing pond with Grandma Gay.
Jade at the penny scramble.
Look mom I found some pennies
Jase just liked playing in the saw dust.
Jessa rode the airplanes with Jade.
That night Justin's class got together at a BBQ place. It was a fun nights of stories and laughs. Jase has the same haircut that Justin had from 1st grade to 4th grade. ;)
We all had a fabulous time, just very very tired. It nice catching up with everyone, and Jade loves playing with her cousins on both sides. It was sad leaving today, my mom and dad will be leaving soon to spend the winter in Arizona. Jase will have to wait awhile to play the slot machine at their house.
