Day 3 - another beach day, but not a great day. . just a good day. We biked to nearby public beach that even had a play structure with slides and swings. It was a little windy and the ocean was choppy that day, kind of how the day went. The kids were starting to get tired, then Jase got stung by some flying large black insect. Just we decided after awhile just to go home and relax by the pool.
We had so much fun playing in the sand with kids and looking for sea shells.
That night after some good naps, we went to the restaurant the Sandbar. It is a beautiful beach side restaurant. Jase ate mussels, fresh fish, Caesar salad, asparagus and of course key lime pie. Jade was not interested in the mussels. . fine by me. I love love mussels so more for us. I had a shrimp pasta dish and Justin had these huge gulf shrimp. This was one of my favorite nights sitting watching in the ocean drinking a margarita watching the kids color and we all just chatted. We ended the night again at the ice cream shop . . eating blueberry pie, butter pecan, bing cherry and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. I still can't believe how good the kids were on the trip.
We loved to swim at night. No sunscreen.
