We have been out at Haxtun since Thursday helping get ready for Justin's parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Everything turned out great. whew!!!

That is Dick and Gay's cake topper used 50 years ago at their wedding.
Stacy made all these table decorations. We had little note cards sitting out for people to write a memory about Dick and Gay.

Justin grandpa and grandma is in the middle along with this sisters and their husbands.
We had a cake reception open to the community from 1-4, then we fixed a dinner for the close family and friends later that night.
Justin smoked over 50 lbs. of meat. I made potato salad, coleslaw and BBQ sauce. The other sister-in-laws made fruit salad, cucumber salad, chinese cabbage salad, baked beans, and corn on the cob. I also made peach and strawberry rhubarb cobbler for dessert that night. We served I think around 60 people. It was busy!!!

I was thinking about Chopper the other day and was wondering how he was doing. Glad to see a little of him in that picture. congrats to Justin's parents, 50 years is amazing!
Chopper is hanging in there for a 13 year old dog. Getting old and grumpy.
