So on Friday we went out to Haxtun, where Justin and I grew up for Corn Festival. We all had a good time. We left about nap time thinking Jade would sleep. . she slept about 30-40 minutes. She wasn't screaming, just chatting and looking around. We got out there to see both grandma and grandpa's before they had a dinner. My parents and Justin's mom graduated in the same class 50 years ago. . Corn Festival is also the time where the alumni meet for the class reunions. That night we went to a neighboring town to eat since everyone was busy. We had Rocky Mountain Oysters. .yum. . . Jade was starved. . she ate a corn dog, a Rocky Mountain Oyster, 2 pickles, a ton of fries and grapes-- this will equal a huge problem Sat. morning since she rarely gets fried food. Then we came home and went to the high school football game. Jade had so much fun playing with the kids on the track in front of the football field especially the Gillotte girls . She was so dirty and exhausted. Justin had a busy week at work, so we all went to bed by 10. My parents stayed out to 11:30pm, and Justin parents came home at 12:30am. Do you see some role reversals here?
Saturday morning at 9:30am is the kiddie parade, then followed by the main parade. Here is a pic of my niece and nephew Blake and Jessa looking down our main street. They are ready with their bags for their candy, which is tossed from the floats during the parade. This entry into the kiddie parade is adorable. I can't wait until Jade can ride her bike in the parade.
Jade riding the rides with her second cousin Tate. She had so much fun with Peyten, Tate, and Avery Goddard.
Sunday morning, we had a brunch at my parents house with everyone. My parents are getting ready to head south for the winter. The kids wore Jade out playing with her.
